Steady traffic with flat signups is one of the most fixable problems on the web. In most audits I run, the page explains what the company does, but the first screen never says what the visitor walks away with. Rewrite the headline as an outcome and give it a week. If you'd like a second pair of eyes, I do free 15-minute audits: yoursite.com/audit

Professional but human: a real perspective instead of “Great post”. Reads the author's headline too.

Oh, I feel this one. When traffic is fine but signups stay quiet, it's almost always the first five seconds. Make the headline about what people get. Happy to take a look, I do free 15 minute audits: yoursite.com/audit

Casual and short, reacting to the photo or caption. Links stay out, since Instagram comments can't click them.
You decide how hard it sells.
Turn the pitch off when a post just deserves a good answer, or go direct when the moment's right. On personal, sad or off-topic posts, Riff suggests turning it off.

Press Enter and every reply goes through four stages. A draft that misses gets rewritten quietly, up to twice.
read
Gemini Nano reads the post and notes the topic, the author's mood, what they want and one detail worth picking up.
write
A session primed with your Voice and dials writes the reply, with a different opening move every spin.
check
The draft has to fit the limit, skip your Never say list and read as new next to your pasted point and your last 60 replies.
polish
Labels, hashtags and em dashes come out, any link the model invented is removed, and your link goes where you asked.
voice
Fill in Voice once: who you are, what you offer, who it's for, how you sound, and one reply you're proud of. Riff puts it behind every reply, and it stays on your computer.

You press send
Riff never presses Reply, Comment, Post or Enter. Each reply is written for one specific post and sent by you, which keeps you within the automation rules of X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
Before you install
Installing takes about two minutes. The first time you open the panel, click Download Gemini Nano. Chrome fetches the model once, and after that everything runs offline.

Fair questions
Does Riff post for me?
No. Riff fills the reply or comment box and stops there. You read it, and you press send.
Do I need an account or an API key?
No. Riff runs on Gemini Nano, the model built into Chrome, so there are no servers to sign up for and no keys to paste.
Does it work on other sites?
Riff reads posts on the desktop sites of X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Anywhere else, paste the post into the panel and choose which site you're writing for.
Which languages can it write in?
Match the post replies in the post's own language. You can also pick English, Spanish, French, German or Japanese. Older versions of Chrome only support English, Spanish and Japanese on-device, and updating adds French and German.
Won't my replies start to sound the same?
That's what the Fresh score is for. Each spin opens a different way, avoids openings you've already used, and is checked against your last 60 replies.
Any keyboard shortcuts?
Alt+Shift+R opens Riff. Enter riffs, Shift+Enter adds a line, Ctrl or ⌘+Enter inserts the draft, and Esc stops a riff.
Plug it in.
Add Riff to Chrome, open X, LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram, and press Alt+Shift+R. After a one-time model download, every riff happens on your computer.
